Powerplate Blackontrack Party - The Hills, Queenstown

29th of August 2008

On the 29th of August 2008 the who's who of New Zealand's Skiing Community converged on The Hills Clubhouse for the highly anticipated Powerplate Blackontrack Party. Hosted by Richard Mehrtens, Chairman of Snowvision, the event raised $30,000 through a silent and live auction for the New Zealand National Ski Team programme.

The Powerplate Blackontrack party sold out and boasted a guest list of locals and out of towners alike, who enjoyed the architecturally acclaimed Hills Clubhouse, with both New Zealand and International past and present skiing greats. Headlining the auction items and sparking some enthusiastic bidding was a round of golf and dinner with the Swedish National Ski Team.

The successful event was organised by Snowvision CEO, Fiona Stevens, and her team: Wayne and Carrie Cafe, Fraser Skinner, Jenny Mcleod and Deborah Botica and was supported by numerous other donors and sponsors.

Volkswagen blackonwhite Snowball

18th of May 2007

The Snowvision Foundation threw its inaugural blackonwhite Snowball on the 18th of May 2007 in the impressive new copper dome on top of the Auckland Museum. The blackonwhite themed event was supported by nearly 400 guests who drank 42Below cocktails, Corona beer and Morton Estate Black and White Label wines.

The guests were entertained by Mike King, a live performance by the 'Kazakhstan Ski Team' and an interview by Susan Wood with 2006 Olympic Downhill gold medalist Antoine Deneriaz from France and World Cup Slalom champion Claudia Riegler.

Through the SnowCentre Lucky Dip and the Boulgaris Auctions a significant amount of money was raised for donation to The Snowvision Foundation capital fund.

Two Snowvision performance awards were handed on the night to New Zealand National Ski Team racers Ben Griffin and Mark Bridgewater after their World Championship Performances.

The Snowvision Foundation is an independent charitable trust building a capital fund to help resource and unlock New Zealand's potential on snow and get Kiwis back on top of the world in snow sports.
